CryptoLioness-My Crypto Journey
Hiya, my name is PurpleLioness aka Scotcoin1000000aire, I am a disabled mum with seven beautiful cubs that are my pride and a long suffering partner my very own King Henry VIII (so named because he is 8th in line for my affections) I love purple and lions, the clue is in the name! I live in a lovely 200 year old house with crumbly outbuildings that I am slowly customising in a sleepy wee town in Scotland.
I know these blogs are supposed to be about getting to know the person but I will be using other names for my cubs (I talk about them a lot!) as it is I that wishes to do this not them and their privacy is their right, I hope you understand.
So, what’s the craic?
I am passionate about cannabis and it’s uses and properties so much so that I also have another website VioletLight about CBD oil (which is legal in the UK) and will feature THC products when they are eventually legalised. Weed is my pain killer of choice and as I am in pain 24/7 I don’t like to run out. So one night I was looking for weed online as my usual sources were affected by being illegal! I found a site that delivered but they wanted paying with something called Bitcoin. I thought to myself “Bitcoin, what’s that then?” and so began my journey into cryptocurrency…..
I’m not going to get into the whole bitcoin story here as it’s my homepage and I don’t want to put you to sleep at the start of the journey! It is interesting tho’ so you can read about it here (bitcoin.org). As you may have seen by now, there are loads of different types of ‘crypto’ available – Bitcoin (Btc)is the main one and it’s had babies which have all forked off in different directions – a wee bit of crypto-humour there which may be funnier when you’ve looked at this (Bitcoin forks) – then there is Litecoin(Ltc), Ethereum(Eth), Dogecoin (Doge) to name but a few, the bank even has one called Ripple (XRP) but it’s the bank’s so I’m not interested personally obvs you can make up your own mind about it.
All the other currencies that are not Bitcoin are called altcoins. My personal favourite and my first ever experience with crypto is Scotcoin, you can read all about it and the Scotcoin Project here https://exchange.scotcoinproject.com/?raf=ref6010527 I will be promoting it on this site and there will be a faucet coming soon and hopefully a quiz where you can win Scotcoin for answering general knowledge questions.
And you’re doing this because?…
I think cryptocurrency is the most exciting thing that’s happened on this planet since the internet was created! I don’t claim to fully understand it all (if you look up tech savvy in the dictionary there will not be a picture of me!) but I’m learning every day, having fun delving into the crypto-verse, learning the lingo – blockchain, mining, mining pools, faucets , hot and cold wallets, short links, pass phrases, personal and public keys – all things I hadn’t heard of this time last year.
I have spent six months floundering around finding stuff out through trial and error, it’s been a fun ride and I’ve met some great people and the best bit is it’s far from over! I have had a lot of help from online communities but I have had to figure a lot out by myself which has been hard but it has lead me to do this blog so I can help other ordinary people like me who just go on Facebook or Google, maybe a bit of Pinterest, Twitter or WhatsApp i.e not fully paid up members of the iT crowd! I’m v far from a computer geek and I wish there had been something like this available when I was looking for answers but there wasn’t so here it is!
I will be providing idiot proof videos showing exactly how I got started with crypto and anything new that I learn along the way – they will not be profesh, it’s me using my phone to film me using my iPad or laptop! – but they will walk you through the various processes and I don’t speak geek so you should be able to understand!
If I’ve piqued your interest – do come along for the ride there will be highs and lows, triumphs and tragedies there may also be a bit of porn but I will try to issue a warning at the start of those videos!
It’s a bit the blind leading the blind but it’ll be fun and who knows where we’ll end up!
If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.
All the best,
